The Anatomy of Divinity

"Divinity is not a matter of cosmic machinery, but the goodness and beauty that embrace us, surprise us, and fill us with deep joy." - Jurgen Moltmann

I have a deep respect for worldviews that love and respect fellow humans and embrace a holistic worldview acknowledging the interconnectedness of all aspects of Life.

With the understanding wisdom flows from God enables it to be found across various religions and philosophies. I choose to appreciate the divine inspiration behind the teachings and grow from them.

In our journey through Life, the concept of a loving divine holds profound significance. Regardless of our spiritual beliefs or philosophical inclinations, acknowledging and embracing the sacred can infuse our thoughts and actions with purpose, guidance, and inspiration. The divine encompasses a higher power, the transcendent, and the innate goodness within ourselves and the world.

In this blog, I will explore the importance of integrating the divine in our thinking as we navigate various endeavours, unveiling its transformative impact on our path to success and fulfillment.

When we recognize the divine within us, we tap into an awareness infusing our endeavours with a more profound sense of purpose, enabling us to pursue goals with unwavering dedication and enthusiasm. As theologian, Frederick Buechner beautifully expressed, "The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet."

By aligning our actions with the divine within us, we can contribute to the well-being of ourselves and others, creating a ripple effect of positive transformation.

The divine offers a well of wisdom and intuition. This intuitive connection is a compass, helping us make choices aligned with our higher selves and the greater good. Trusting in the divine within us allows us to access this inner knowing, empowering us to make decisions with clarity, authenticity, and confidence.

Life's journey is replete with challenges and setbacks, and it is during these times that embracing the divine becomes exceptionally crucial. Embracing the sacred in our thinking empowers us to access a wellspring of inner strength, enabling us to persevere, learn, and grow amidst Life's trials.

Throughout my career, I failed to acknowledge the significance of a "higher power” and consequently suffered many personal and professional failings coming from ego faith in my own abilities and strength. However, as time went on, thanks to signs and wonders in 2007 & 2008, I came to embrace Christianity fully.

In the Christian faith, the Holy Spirit is a guide, teacher, and source of wisdom and understanding. The Holy Spirit is seen as a source of divine assistance, comfort, and empowerment.

In this post-Christian society, it is a difficult time for believers as they seem to have to defend those who do and say stupid things in the name of Christianity. I am with those who wish to call out the hypocrisy, but I will not do that here.

"Love and compassion are the true antidotes to hatred and violence." - Mata Amritanandamayi, The Hugging Saint.

This chapter of the blog, as is the entire blog, is dedicated to hope, love and possibility regardless of one’s beliefs. I will draw from a range of philosophical, ethical, and spiritual traditions to address the deeper aspects of human experience and our connection to one another and the planet.

Jesus said, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
